Mesa de Trabajo Municipalidad de Lima y Comerciantes Minoristas de Productos Perecibles Trabajan por Formalización y su Desarrollo Integral

An Act, signed in Lima in December 2012, between the Municipalidad Metropolitana de Lima (the local government in Lima) and 24 organizations representing street vendors who have worked in the space around the former big-scale market known as “La Parada” (which was closed in October in a very hard process, creating considerable friction). Through this Act, the Municipalidad Metropolitana de Lima has offered these organizations a place in front of a new, big-scale market in Santa Anita in the city, where a market will be built in 2013. The local government has also offered technical assistance for other commercial projects undertaken by the organizations.
