Waste pickers’ organizations from Africa, Latin America and Asia gathered in Pune, India for the First Global Strategic Workshop of Waste Pickers.
They discussed inclusive models of integrated solid waste management, sharing strategies and ideas as well as the threats and challenges they were facing.
This workshop was hosted by SWaCH and KKPKP trade union of waste pickers in Pune, India, on behalf of the Global Alliance of Waste Pickers and with the support of WIEGO/Inclusive Cities and RedLacre.
