Informe sobre derechos humanos de trabajadores voluntarios de limpia en la CDMX

Mexico City

Research findings on the human rights situation of waste pickers in Mexico City will be released and discussed at a press conference. Tania Espinosa, WIEGO Focal City CDMX Coordinator, will present a WIEGO report on this research.

This is a joint partnership with Mexico City’s Human Rights Commission (Comisión de Derechos Humanos del Distrito Federal - CDHDF). The event will be hosted by the president of CDHDF, Nashieli Ramirez.

In addition to members of the press and city officials, waste pickers who work with WIEGO’s Focal City project in Mexico City, as well as other informal workers (shoe shiners, street vendors and musicians) are invited.
