Collective Paths to a More Dignified Life: Organization, Trust, and Willingness – Comic
This comic is available in English, French and Spanish and forms part of a toolkit that includes a guide in English and Spanish.
This comic is part of a worker-driven toolkit developed by WIEGO and StreetNet International to support street vendors and market traders in strengthening their organizing and building collective economic alternatives.
Inspired by the experiences of workers in worker organizations around the world, the comic uses stories to show how solidarity, cooperation and shared savings can transform workers’ lives. It explains how solidarity-based savings and credit systems work, why they matter, and how groups can start building them from the ground up.
The comic offers:
- Easy-to-understand lessons on Social and Solidarity Economy practices
- Clear examples of how workers can save together, support one another and gain stability
- A visual pathway to understanding collective models that improve incomes and strengthen organizations
- Designed to be accessible and engaging, the comic helps workers see what is possible when they organize in solidarity, protect one another, and create systems that support dignity and well-being.
