Suddenly relocated to the outskirts of Delhi in 2006, many of the city's urban poor faced an immense loss of livelihood, having to start again from scratch in the remote resettlement colony of Savda Ghevra. The story of resettlement here is also a tale of building back lives and livelihoods. This publication shows the timeline of resettlement at Savda Ghevra, using a livelihood lens. It also documents the case study of a woman worker and her struggle to overcome the various livelihood challenges that resettlement imposed on her.
