Improving the Regulatory Framework for Income Enhancement of the Urban Poor: A Case Study of Lima
A common problem for informal entrepreneurs is that regulations are both excessive and inadequately enforced. This chapter examines national-local segmentation in regulations that affect street vendors and micro entrepreneurs in Lima, Peru, and offers recommendations for enhancing regulations so that informal entrepreneurs can become more productive.
