The Informal Sector and Informal Employment in Armenia
This report contains the findings of the mixed-survey approach to measuring informal sector. It was caried out in two phases by The National Statistical Service of the Republic of Arrmenia (NSSRA) with the technical assistance of the Asia Development Bank.
The first phase of the survey was the expanded Section D or the Labor and Employment module of the Integrated Living Conditions Survey (ILCS), while the second phase is the Informal Sector Survey (ISS).The topics on which data are reported include formal and informal employment, characteristics of informal sector enterprises and the contribution of the informal sector to gross domestic production.
Recommendations are also included for institutionalizing data on informal employemnt and the informal sector as part of regular statistics collected by the national statistical service.his report also benefited from the valuable inputs of
