The World’s Women 2000: Trends and Statistics
The World's Women 2000 is a statistical source-book that provides a comprehensive analysis of how women fare in different parts of the world. It highlights, through statistical analysis, women's situation as compared to men's worldwide in a broad range of fields---including families, health, education, work, human rights and politics. At the time, WIEGO was working with the ILO and the United Nations Statistics Division to improve statistics on the informal sector, homeworkers and street vendors (some of the findings of which are included in Chapter 5 of The World’s Women 2000).
