The General Federation of Nepalese Trade Unions (GEFONT) is a national trade union confederation established in 1989. Its affiliates organize workers across agriculture, industry and services, including sectors such as manufacturing, transport, hospitality, construction, agriculture, street vending, education and security. GEFONT works to represent workers, strengthen trade unions and advance labour rights, social security, occupational safety and health, and the participation of women workers in union leadership.
