Join workers in the second of a three-part series toward the International Labour Conference (ILC), as they discuss their strategies and priorities.

Workers in the platform economy are often not protected by labour regulations, leading to similar vulnerabilities and decent work deficits, to those experienced by workers in informal employment. At this year’s ILC, employers, member states and workers will debate the adoption of a new labour standard to promote decent work in the platform economy. In March, the International Labour Organization released its final report – also known as the “Blue Report” – which contains comments and the draft texts of the Convention and Recommendation on realizing decent work in the platform economy. This draft text of the Blue Report will inform the substance of negotiations at the ILC in June.

Workers’ organizations have been closely reviewing the texts since their release, and will use this webinar to share their reactions, raise priority issues, and propose concrete amendments.

The webinar aims to gather and discuss the proposed amendments, prioritise the key areas for intervention, and exchange and align their strategies ahead of the ILC.
