Open Letter to All States Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change

Ahead of COP30, WIEGO joined members of the Climate Action Network, trade unions, Indigenous Peoples, frontline communities and other members of civil society in calling for a breakthrough Just Transition package at COP30. The open letter outlines core demands to build a new multilateral mechanism to orient actions around people-centred just transitions, integrate just transition guardrails into the COP processes, develop adequate financing and ensure people-centered just transition plans are integrated within nationally determined contributions (NDCs) and more.
