Facilitator Guide “We are workers; our homes are workplaces”

By on August 01, 2020

This illustrated facilitator guide supports trainers and worker leaders in helping home-based workers (HBWs) recognize themselves as workers, understand their rights, and strengthen democratic organizations. Developed through participatory workshops in Kenya and Uganda, the guide covers eight core topics—from valuing home-based work and understanding labour rights to building collective power and democratic organizations. It provides structured facilitation tips, discussion questions, and evaluation tools to promote empowerment, gender equality, and recognition of home-based work as decent work.
