Web Manager

Part-time (3.5 days per week) Web Manager based in the Global South (Asia, Africa and Latin America). The Web Manager is responsible for the management, monitoring and development of WIEGO’s online presence, including a Drupal-based website and multiple WordPress-based sites. This position manages day-to-day, mid-and long-term website projects; including developing new features; maintaining content on our sites; and managing outside contractors, as required. The person also monitors and analyzes data in order to optimize digital communications.

Organiser, Waste Picker Integration Project (Accra, Ghana)

The Organiser will be responsible for supporting the organizing of waste pickers in Accra, Ghana, as part of the administration and coordination of a WP project launched by Women in Informal Employment: Globalizing and Organizing (WIEGO) in partnership with the Fan Milk Ghana, MIT and Environmental 360, as part of the Focal Cities broader initiative in WIEGO. The organiser will work and report regularly to Accra Focal City Coordinator, as well as have regular meetings upon request with both the local Accra team involved in the project and other WIEGO members such as Wiego Focal Cities Director, ORP African officer and Waste-pickers Sector advisor.

Consultant for Rights Based Social Protection Project in Sub-Saharan Africa

The Friedrich Ebert Stiftung (FES), in collaboration with partners across Africa in social protection – including WIEGO – is implementing the Rights-Based Social Protection Project in Sub-Saharan Africa. The aim of this project is for African countries to implement legally-based social protection programs. As part of the project, a consultant is being sought to conduct a scoping exercise on the status of rights-based social protection in Sub-Saharan Africa.

This consultancy is not being offered directly through WIEGO; the consultant will be hired by Friedrich Ebert Stiftung for work on a project that WIEGO is also involved in.
