GADN talk on women’s economic rights in the informal economy

On November 7, 2017, in London, the Women’s Economic Justice working group of the Gender and Development Network (GADN) hosted a talk by Renana Jhabvala, Coordinator of the Self Employed Women’s Association (SEWA) and WIEGO’s Board Chair.

Renana discussed her work as a member of the UN High-Level Panel on Women’s Economic Empowerment and ways SEWA works to promote women’s economic empowerment and strengthen the rights and position of women in the informal economy in India.

On November 6th, Renana attended another talk in London, during an event entitled "Towards Self-Reliance: Poor Women in Changing India", organized by the Asian Business Association.
