A Hong Kong district councillor has spoken out about a need for employers to introduce rules over whether domestic workers in the region can use air conditioning, it's reported.

The accused, Fok Ka-ching, was convicted of three counts of indecent assault, one of attempted rape and one of rape in 2013, in relation to events that took place between July and August 2011, during the first month of the worker's arrival in Hong Kong. He was sentenced to seven and a half years in prison.
