Definitional and Statistical Issues: Task force Report

This is a report of the  Task Force  set up to review the existing definitions and evolve a set of criteria for  common definitions of un-organised/informal sector and unorganised/informal employment.

The report includes the Task Force 's review of  the existing definitions, both national and international, and an analyis of  the characteristics of the enterprises having different employment sizes, and  the size classes specified for the applicability of various legislations relating to conditions of work and social security.  It also contains the word of  a Sub-Committee to examine the methods of estimating the contribution of the unorganised sector to GDP.
