The 10th International Conference on Researching Work and Learning (RWL 10) took place between December 6th and 8th 2017, at the Rhodes University, in Grahamstown, South Africa.

The Researching Work and Learning (RWL) conference is the leading international research conference series in the field of work and learning. The conference series is organized through the leadership of the RWL International Advisory Committee, in association with the Studies in Continuing Education Journal (2017-2018).

The theme for RWL10 was "Transitions, Transformations and Transgressions in Work and Learning & Work and Learning Research". WIEGO’s Vanessa Pillay attendd as a panelist for the symposium on Renewing Workers’ Education. This symposium presented the work-in-progress of a book, written by a group of workers’ education scholars and practitioners. The focus of the book was on how to re-invent workers' education in order to engage with and build visions for an alternative future.
